Open Source Concept: It is available with its source. This
software is free of cost in terms of making modifications. According to
requirement but a company that makes a business model around the open-source
software. Money receives after providing support to or further development of the business study.
Terms related to Open Source Concept:
FOSS/FLOSS: Free Labor Open Source Software. It is free to license to
use, copy and change the software in the software openly so that people
encourage to improve the design of the software.
OSI: Open Source Initiative. It
is an organization that is related to the promotion of open-source software.
W3C: World Wide Web Consortium. It is an international
connectivity that as possible to maintain the scalarization of software for
W3C.
Freeware: It is generally referring to the software which is
available for an unlimited time. The user can copy and distribute but cannot
modify.
Shareware: It refers to the software which is made available
with right with redistribution its copy for a fair freely specific period of
time.
Propriety Software: It neither open-source software
nor free software. The source code of the software is not available. It cannot be
further distributed or copied for its use, e.g., MS Windows, etc.
GNU: GNU, Not Unix. It is a Unix-like operating system software.
